Spanish Fork, UT. – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Saturday afternoon in Spanish Fork.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 6 near Diamond Fork Road.
A black Kia Soul with a driver and two passengers was traveling eastbound on the highway when the driver lost control, drifted into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a white Kia Sportage.
A white Kia Telluride traveling westbound also struck the Kia Soul head-on.
The impact of the collision caused the backseat passenger of the Kia Soul to be ejected and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the Kia Soul and the other passenger were transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Occupants of the Kia Sportage and the Kia Telluride were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
