MISSOULA, Mont. — Hundreds of youth ATVs are being recalled due to serious crash and burn hazards, according to federal safety officials.

The recall affects Sierra 125-U youth ATVs sold under various brand names, including Rider 9. Authorities reported issues including suspension problems, faulty parking brakes, and malfunctioning reverse lights, increasing the risk of accidents.

Additionally, components near the footwell may overheat, posing burn risks. No injuries have been reported at this time.

The affected ATVs were sold nationwide from October 2025 to April 2026. Consumers are advised to cease use immediately and contact the company for a refund.

Separately, a recall impacting thousands of light sets sold on Amazon has been announced. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Qumeney bicycle light sets are being recalled due to a battery hazard.

Officials indicated that the lights can be easily opened, allowing children's access to small coin-cell batteries that can cause severe chemical burns if ingested. The products also fail to meet federal warning standards.

Consumers should refrain from using these products and follow the seller's refund instructions.
