Fairmont, W.Va. (WVDN) — On Monday, Feb. 16, at approximately 1:22 p.m., a fatal motor vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 79 southbound at the 139-mile marker.
David Pardue, 47, of Burnsville, WV, was operating a 1995 Ford F-250 when he traveled over the left fog line and collided with a safety barrier. The vehicle then crossed into the right-hand lane and struck a tractor-trailer.
Pardue was pronounced deceased at the scene, and no additional injuries were reported.
The West Virginia State Police Fairmont Detachment is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
