MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) — A Madison man charged in a fatal hit-and-run is set for trial following a court appearance on Tuesday.
Michael Martin, 42, faces seven counts, including felony hit-and-run resulting in death. According to authorities, he struck and killed construction worker Carlos R. Lopez on South Stoughton Road on April 30. Police reported Martin was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
Martin waived his preliminary hearing and has been bound over for trial. He is scheduled to return to court in June.
