OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — A fatal crash on July 13 claimed the life of a 25-year-old woman in southwest Oklahoma City.
Shortly before 7 a.m., the Oklahoma City Police Department responded to a multi-vehicle accident at S.W. 59th Street and Hwy 152. Authorities reported that two vehicles were traveling northbound when one vehicle cut off the other, leading to a rollover crash.
The vehicle overturned multiple times and rolled into the southbound lanes, colliding with a car driven by Sharon Ladimar Paz Herrera. Both Herrera and the other driver were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite medical efforts, Herrera succumbed to her injuries. A child in a car seat in Herrera's vehicle was unharmed.
The scene prompted temporary lane closures as investigators assessed the crash. Further details regarding the investigation are pending.
