ROCKTON, Ill. — A 72-year-old woman from Racine, Wisconsin, died following a vehicle rollover crash on Saturday evening.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., a vehicle traveling north on Route 2 near Wagon Wheel Road lost control and rolled over. Emergency responders from the Rockton Police Department and Rockton Fire Department arrived at the scene shortly after the incident.
Upon arrival, first responders found the passenger unresponsive. Authorities pronounced her dead at 10:34 p.m., as confirmed by the Winnebago County Coroner's Office. The victim has been identified as Faith Moore.
An autopsy indicated that Moore died from blunt head trauma resulting from the crash. The investigation is ongoing, spearheaded by the Rockton Police Department, the Coroner's Office, and the Winnebago County Major Crash Assistance Team.
