EL RENO, Okla. — More than 300 motorcyclists participated in a benefit ride on Saturday to support the families of four young adults killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 40 last month.

The event aimed to assist with funeral expenses and other financial burdens stemming from the tragedy. Participants rode from the Tuxedo Lounge, making six stops along Historic Route 66, and engaged in raffles and auctions throughout the day.

The ride honored Kiercy Hickson, Haleigh Salazar, Brad Palmer, and Quincy Jones, who died when a suspected drunk driver collided with their vehicle just after midnight in May, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

“This is what we do to help families and help people in need,” Whitney Sides, owner of the Tuxedo Lounge and event volunteer, stated.

Organizers confirmed that all proceeds from the event would be equally distributed among the four families affected by the crash.

According to participants, the event highlighted community solidarity in the face of tragedy. Selene Reed, a rider, emphasized the personal connection, noting one victim had previously played youth soccer with her children.

“My heart goes out to all the families,” Reed said.
