MCHENRY COUNTY, Ill. — A single-vehicle crash in Marengo on Monday resulted in one fatality and sent another person to the hospital.
According to the McHenry County Coroner's Office, 19-year-old Marley Galvan of Janesville, Wisconsin, died in the accident, which occurred at 22820 River Rd. Authorities reported that Galvan's vehicle veered off the road after misjudging a curve, colliding with a post and a tree.
A passenger in Galvan's vehicle was transported to Javon Bea Hospital in critical condition, but no updates on their status are available.
The initial autopsy yielded no findings, and toxicology results are pending. The McHenry County Sheriff's Office and Marengo Fire District are assisting with the investigation.
