WILMINGTON, DE—On October 4, 2023, a Wilmington man was sentenced to 59 years in prison following a crash that resulted in the deaths of a mother and one of her five children.

The incident occurred on January 15, 2023, when the defendant collided with a minivan on Route 202. The crash several occupants from the vehicle, leading to severe injuries. Emergency responders from the Wilmington Fire Department and New Castle County EMS were dispatched to the scene.
