Tiger Woods Involved in Rollover Crash, Arrested for DUI
JUPITER ISLAND, FL—Tiger Woods was arrested for DUI following a rollover crash on March 27, 2026, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office.
Woods, 50, was driving a Land Rover when he reportedly attempted to navigate around a pickup truck, clipped its trailer, and lost control, causing his vehicle to flip over. Authorities confirmed that neither Woods nor the driver of the pickup sustained injuries in the incident.
Emergency services responded to the scene shortly after 2:41 p.m. and found Woods displaying signs of impairment. Body camera footage shows him sweating profusely and having bloodshot eyes. A deputy noted he appeared lethargic during field sobriety tests, despite agreeing to perform them.
Authorities conducted a DUI investigation after observing several signs of impairment. Woods was found to be in possession of two white pills identified as hydrocodone. Though he denied consuming alcohol, he acknowledged taking prescription medication earlier in the day.
Woods was transported to a hospital for evaluation before being taken to jail. He subsequently refused to provide a urine sample for further testing. He was charged with DUI with property damage and refusing to submit to a DUI test. Court records indicate he has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Woods is currently seeking treatment and has requested permission to travel outside the country for comprehensive care. His attorney cited ongoing medical scrutiny and public exposure as barriers to receiving adequate treatment.
