Tiger Woods was arrested for DUI following a rollover crash on Jupiter Island, Florida, on March 27, 2026.
According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office, Woods, 47, was driving a Land Rover when he lost control and hit a pickup truck, resulting in the SUV flipping onto its side. Both drivers were uninjured.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after 2:41 p.m. Witnesses reported that Woods was “sweating profusely,” had bloodshot eyes, and exhibited signs of impairment during an investigation. He was observed performing field sobriety tests, appearing to limp due to an existing leg injury.
Authorities discovered two white pills in Woods' possession, identified as Norco, an opioid painkiller. Woods denied consuming alcohol but admitted to taking prescription medication earlier in the day.
After being placed under arrest, Woods reportedly expressed confusion about his situation. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation before being transported to jail, where he bonded out later.
He faces charges of DUI with property damage and refusing to submit to a DUI test. Woods has pleaded not guilty, and a motion was filed for him to seek treatment outside the U.S. due to ongoing medical scrutiny. Judge Darren Steele approved the motion, with Woods stating his commitment to health improvement.
