Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of New Castle Woman
Aug. 15, 2026, 10:50 p.m. ET—New Castle, DE: A 54-year-old woman has been identified as the fatality in a motorcycle accident on Dupont Highway.
According to the Delaware State Police, Sandy Nahory was riding her motorcycle when she was struck by a Mazda 6 that failed to stop at a stop sign near Schafer Boulevard.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene, but Nahory was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly thereafter.
Authorities reported that the driver of the Mazda remained on the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The highway was briefly closed for debris removal and accident reconstruction but has since reopened. No additional injuries were reported.
