Man Killed in Dixie Highway Crash Identified
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A head-on collision on Dixie Highway resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on Friday night.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Maryman Road, according to Louisville Metro Police. The Jefferson County Coroner identified the deceased as 56-year-old Cecilio Garcia Vila.
Authorities reported that two adults and a child sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening. Garcia Vila was initially listed in critical condition before succumbing to injuries at a local hospital.
Emergency response teams and LMPD's Traffic Unit are investigating the incident. Further details on lane closures and vehicle recovery efforts have not yet been released.
