BIG SKY, Mont. — A fatal motorcycle crash occurred Saturday morning in Big Sky, resulting in one confirmed death.
Authorities identified the victim as Mary Medford, 68, of Las Cruces, New Mexico. The incident took place around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Lone Mountain Trail and Lone Mountain Ranch Road.
Emergency responders from the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, Gallatin County Coroner's Office, and Montana Highway Patrol were on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
According to officials, no additional injuries were reported, and no other vehicles were involved. Motorists should expect lane closures in the area as the investigation continues.
