PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — A police pursuit involving a U-Haul truck ended in a crash on May 8.
According to the Paulding Sheriff's Office, the chase began when deputies observed the driver, identified as 36-year-old Damian Jones, driving recklessly within their jurisdiction.
During the pursuit, the U-Haul struck a truck and other vehicles. The chase concluded when a deputy executed a PIT maneuver, causing the U-Haul to overturn in a church parking lot.
Jones was arrested at the scene. Authorities later reported finding drugs inside the U-Haul; however, the specific charges against him were not disclosed.
Emergency response teams provided medical assistance, but no injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation by the Paulding Sheriff's Office.
