LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Two individuals were injured, one critically, in a single-vehicle crash near the Las Vegas Strip early Monday morning.
The incident occurred around 2:26 a.m. at the intersection of Western Avenue and Highland Drive, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMPD). The vehicle reportedly struck a pole and subsequently caught fire.
Emergency responders, including firefighters, performed extrications on both the driver and passenger. Both victims were transported to a local hospital; the driver is currently in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
Officials have not released additional information regarding the crash.
