2 dead after head-on collision on Route 6A in Brewster, Massachusetts, Thursday night.
BREWSTER, Mass. —
The crash occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m., involving a 24-year-old woman from Brewster and a 38-year-old man from Truro, both the sole occupants of their vehicles.
Emergency responders arrived to find both individuals trapped inside their cars due to significant front-end damage. Firefighters from Orleans, Harwich, and Eastham assisted Brewster crews at the scene.
The woman was declared dead at the scene, while the man was transported to Cape Cod Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to Brewster Police.
Authorities reported that emergency personnel faced challenges accessing the victims due to the severity of the collision.
By Friday morning, debris, tire tracks, and fuel stains marked the roadway, with no skid marks evident.
The identities of the deceased have not been released, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
