Motorcycle crash in Casco, Maine, results in man's death and critical injuries to child.

Casco, Maine—A accident on Route 302 late Thursday night resulted in one fatality and a critically injured child.

The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. in the Watkins Flats area near 791 Roosevelt Trail, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office. Kyle Lunn, 34, was operating a motorcycle with a juvenile passenger when the motorcycle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a sedan.

Lunn died at the scene, while the child was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the sustained minor injuries and was taken to Bridgton Hospital.

Emergency responders closed a section of Roosevelt Trail for nearly three hours following the crash. The cause of the collision is currently under investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and the Windham Police Department's crash reconstruction unit.
