MADISON (WKOW) — Two people died in a crash during a vehicle test drive on Commercial Avenue on Friday at 3:25 p.m., according to the Madison Police Department.
Authorities said a 53-year-old driver was traveling west when they attempted a left turn into a parking lot, colliding with a vehicle being tested by two occupants, aged 64 and 65. Both occupants of the test vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
A secondary collision involved two additional vehicles, resulting in one driver with non-life-threatening injuries; the other driver reported no injuries.
The driver involved in the initial crash remained on site and is cooperating with investigators. Authorities released the driver, and the incident remains under investigation.
