NEWTON, Mass. —
Two people were injured in a crash on Route 128 North involving a tractor trailer and passenger vehicles on Friday.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. near mile marker 38, just before the Massachusetts Turnpike interchange, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
A tractor trailer blocked all lanes of traffic, with a silver Toyota Corolla wedged between the truck and the jersey barrier along the median, as reported by Sky5. The second vehicle was not visible.
Authorities confirmed that one adult from each car was taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation, and further details are pending. Lane closures were in effect during the emergency response.
