WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — Two people died in a crash involving a semi-truck on Hwy 69 in Wagoner County Thursday.
Emergency responders were dispatched shortly before 1 p.m. to the scene at Hwy 69 and E. 690 Rd. According to authorities, a BMW, operated by 63-year-old Paul Simmons, lost control on the wet roadway and crossed the median before colliding with the semi-truck.
Both Simmons and his passenger, 77-year-old Connie Johnson, were pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation, and no further details about lane closures or tows have been released.
