FISHER, IL — Two drivers died in a collision early Wednesday morning on U.S. 136, near the Champaign and McLean county border.
According to Champaign County Coroner Laurie Brauer, Joshua A. Cleveland, 32, of Champaign, and Shirley C. Fenton, 67, of Weldon, were pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the accident, which occurred at 6:18 a.m.
Autopsies for both individuals are scheduled for this week. The accident is currently under investigation by the Illinois State Police and the coroner's office.
No additional details regarding the circumstances of the crash or potential lane closures have been released.
