Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Osage Beach on Saturday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the incident occurred around 4:10 p.m. on Route J at Swan Drive.
A 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling north when the driver of a 2013 Toyota Scion, also northbound, slowed to make a left turn.
To avoid the Toyota, the Dodge entered the southbound lane, striking the side of the vehicle.
Both cars left the roadway after the collision and came to a stop.
The 43-year-old male driver of the Toyota and a 41-year-old female passenger from Lake Ozark sustained critical injuries.
Both were airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia for emergency treatment.
MSHP noted that neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, while only the female passenger was properly restrained.
Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
