Two people were injured in a car crash early Wednesday morning in Phelps County, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the incident occurred on Highway P, near Forest Service Road 1516, at 12:03 a.m.
A 2004 Nissan Frontier veered off the right side of the road and struck a tree, according to authorities.
The driver, a 20-year-old man from Vichy, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. The passenger, a 20-year-old man from Steelville, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance.
MSHP stated the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, while the passenger was secured.
