Two Arrested After Hammond Street Crash in Bangor

Bangor, ME – Two individuals were arrested following a crash on Hammond Street at approximately 11:43 a.m. on Monday.

Authorities reported that witnesses observed a vehicle fleeing the scene after the collision. Emergency responders from the Bangor Police Department arrived shortly thereafter.

Michele Payeur, 36, of Bangor, was located by officials and charged with Operating Under the Influence and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Nicholas Bennett, 37, also involved in the incident, was arrested for violating the conditions of his release, as he was prohibited from contacting Payeur.
