Boston EMS reported that an individual was struck at approximately 5:45 a.m. near 1467 Tremont Street and was transported to a local hospital. The injuries sustained by the scooter rider are considered non-life-threatening, according to authorities.
The driver of the vehicle received a citation for violating auto laws, though their name has not been released. Witnesses reported seeing a scooter in the roadway alongside a car with a damaged windshield.
Part of Tremont Street was closed during the investigation by Boston Police.
