Tennessee woman hospitalized in serious condition following crash near Columbia.

A woman was seriously injured in a crash on Monday in Boone County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported that a 2007 Goldwing was traveling south on Route UU, north of Blue Jay Way.

The 68-year-old driver from Westmoreland, Tennessee, failed to negotiate a curve and traveled onto a private drive, resulting in the overturning.

She was from the vehicle and subsequently transported to University Hospital by Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Authorities stated that the woman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
