BLOOMINGTON, MN—A stolen SUV crashed during a police pursuit Thursday morning, resulting in two arrests.
At approximately 8 a.m., a vehicle pursuit led to a crash along Highway 100, just north of Interstate 394. Bloomington Police were alerted to a stolen vehicle from an apartment complex at 7:20 a.m., prompting the initial response.
Officers responded to reports of a suspect attempting to enter a residence nearby, where damage to the door was noted. Following a brief pursuit, the stolen vehicle collided with another vehicle near 98th Street and Lyndale Avenue.
The suspect driver then abandoned the vehicle, switching to another stolen SUV. After losing control, this second vehicle crashed on Highway 100. Traffic cameras captured the suspects fleeing across the median into a grassy area.
Bloomington Police, in collaboration with local agencies, apprehended two suspects—a 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from Minneapolis. One suspect was located hiding in water.
Both individuals sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital but are expected to recover. Authorities continue to investigate the incidents.
