HARRISBURG, S.D. — A Sioux Falls man died following a rollover crash on Interstate 29 near Harrisburg on March 10.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., first responders were dispatched to mile marker 71 at the Tea-Harrisburg exit for a report of a single-vehicle rollover.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, a 47-year-old Sioux Falls man was driving a GMC Denali northbound when the vehicle veered off the roadway, entered the median, vaulted over a culvert, and began to roll, resulting in the driver being ejected.
Authorities confirmed that the victim, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim has not been released pending family notification.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the incident.
