MORGAN, Utah (KUTV) — A semi-truck driver died after being ejected in a rollover crash on Interstate 84 early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. when the truck failed to negotiate a left-hand curve near Morgan, according to the Department of Public Safety. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was declared dead at the scene.
A passenger in the truck, who was asleep at the time, was unharmed. The identities of both individuals have not been released.
The truck, which was hauling apples, overturned, spilling its cargo across the highway. Authorities indicated that one lane will remain closed throughout Thursday for cleanup and vehicle removal. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
