MONROE, Utah (KUTV) — A plane crashed on Monroe Mountain at approximately 12:08 p.m. today, according to the Piute County Sheriff's Office.
The incident occurred east of Marysvale near Anderson Canyon. Two individuals were on board: a 59-year-old man and an 88-year-old man. The 88-year-old was airlifted to Utah Valley Hospital for treatment, while the 59-year-old was transported in a private vehicle.
The crash also sparked a small wildfire, which has since been contained to one acre. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
