LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A woman riding a scooter died following a crash in southeast Las Vegas on Friday night.
The collision occurred around 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Boulder Highway, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Investigators report the woman was crossing Boulder Highway on a Razor scooter and did not obey the walk/don't walk signal.
A northbound 2013 Hyundai Sonata struck the rider, who later succumbed to her injuries at Sunrise Hospital. The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. She and three passengers in the vehicle reported no injuries.
LVMPD is currently investigating the incident. This fatality marks the 59th death in the department's jurisdiction this year.
