LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in northwest Las Vegas early Monday morning.
The incident occurred around 12:37 a.m. at Craig Road and Jones Boulevard, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). The victim, a male pedestrian, was reportedly crossing Craig Road outside of a designated crosswalk.
Authorities said the pedestrian stumbled and fell onto the roadway, where he was struck by a dark-colored SUV that fled the scene heading east. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the location.
The LVMPD's collision investigation team is actively searching for the driver and vehicle involved in the incident.
