Bus-Car Crash on I-65 Near Madison Injures Child and Adult; 19 on Board
MADISON, Ind. — A bus collided with a car on I-65 southbound near Madison on Monday afternoon, resulting in minor injuries to a child and an adult.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. involving a total of 19 individuals aboard the bus. Emergency responders from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and Madison Fire Department arrived at the scene to provide medical aid.
Authorities reported that both the child and adult were treated for minor injuries on-site. The status of other passengers remains unconfirmed, but no serious injuries were reported.
Three lanes of the highway were closed for approximately an hour to facilitate emergency response and investigation. Towing services were also requested to remove the vehicles involved.
