LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A fatal crash near the intersection of I-11 and Boulder Highway occurred at approximately 11:49 a.m. today, according to the Nevada State Police.
The incident involved a 1998 Peterbilt 379 semi-tractor with a dump trailer that rolled onto its left side. Authorities reported the vehicle was traveling south on Boulder Highway, approaching the I-11 southbound on-ramp.
The driver failed to maintain his lane, striking both a metal guardrail and a concrete barrier wall before descending a small embankment and overturning. The unrestrained driver was ejected during the rollover.
Emergency responders transported the driver, 44-year-old Eric Andrew Francis of Henderson, to a local hospital with critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead.
Nevada State Police are investigating the incident, and lane closures were reported in the area due to the mishap. Further details on tow and road conditions are pending.
