ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. — A Port Gibson woman died and a 3-year-old was injured in a car crash on Highway 61 late Tuesday night.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol reported the incident occurred around 11 p.m. on November 18. Precious Clark, 26, was driving a 2014 Honda Accord southbound when she lost control, running off the road and colliding with a concrete culvert. Clark was pronounced dead at the scene.
The child, who was ejected from the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Merit Health in Natchez, according to Sgt. Craig James.
Emergency responders were on the scene for the investigation, which is ongoing. Lane closures were noted as authorities managed the site.
