Fort Gay, W.Va. (WVDN) — On Monday, May 11, 2026, a fatal crash occurred on US RT 52 near Cedar Heights Road.
Authorities said a Toyota Rav4, driven by Braden N. Murry, 21, of Louisa, KY, was northbound when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a tractor trailer. Murry was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, Christopher Keesee, 42, also of Louisa, was unharmed.
Emergency response included Troopers from the West Virginia State Police Wayne Detachment. The next of kin has been notified.
The investigation is ongoing, and US RT 52 may experience lane closures as crews respond.
