Police probe possible impaired driving following rollover crash in Mexico, Mo.

Two men were following a crash in Audrain County on Wednesday night.

The Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) responded to the incident on South Clark Street around 7:04 p.m.

According to authorities, a 2015 Cadillac was traveling south when it failed to negotiate a curve, driving off the roadway.

The vehicle struck raised ground and flipped end-over-end for approximately 528 feet before landing on its roof.

Officers reported that the driver, a 39-year-old man, and a 32-year-old passenger were able to exit the with minimal assistance.

Witnesses stated the SUV was and driving recklessly prior to the crash.

MPSD will investigate the incident for possible alcohol or marijuana impairment.

Both men were transported to University Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
