SHIVELY, Ky. — Two women were killed in a crash early Sunday morning on 7th Street Road.
At approximately 6:20 A.M., Shively Police responded to reports of a collision with injuries in the 3400 block of 7th Street Road. Upon arrival, officers found two women in their early 20s, who were pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Shortly before the incident, a shooting was reported in the 1700 block of Berry Boulevard. Authorities stated they do not believe the two incidents are related, as no “obvious gunshot wounds” were observed on the victims, with final determinations pending an autopsy.
The 3400 block of 7th Street Road was closed in both directions for an extended period during the investigation but has since reopened.
