PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX News) — A 74-year-old man died following an ATV crash on an off-road trail in Pike County on August 27.
The incident occurred around 5:42 p.m. on an ATV trail off Booker Fork, according to Kentucky State Police (KSP). Authorities reported that the victim, identified as Billy Tackett, lost control of his ATV, which left the side of the trail and overturned.
Tackett was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner's Office.
The incident is under investigation by Trooper Cameron Whitaker. KSP Post 9 and local first responders were on the scene to provide assistance.
