PAYNE COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A Perkins woman died following a two-vehicle collision on Hwy 33 Saturday morning.
The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. near Range Rd., according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Troopers reported that an eastbound vehicle was attempting to pass other vehicles when a westbound vehicle approached, causing both drivers to swerve north and collide.
Authorities confirmed the driver of the westbound vehicle, 55-year-old Lisa Dunbar, succumbed to her injuries. Emergency response units arrived at the scene, and the incident is under investigation. No additional injuries have been reported, and lane closures were implemented during the investigation.
