NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash involving an 18-wheeler.
Authorities received a call around 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday regarding the incident on Paris Road near the Green Bridge. Upon arrival, officers found a pedestrian who had been struck by the truck. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services responded to the location, and the Green Bridge has since reopened to traffic. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement is expected to provide further updates.
