INDIANAPOLIS — A crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred Wednesday morning at approximately 6:50 a.m., leaving a male in critical condition.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive and Southeastern Avenue, located near the Marion County Justice Center. Upon arrival, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) found the male unresponsive in the roadway and provided immediate medical assistance.
The individual was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Authorities stated that impairment is not believed to be a factor in the accident. Lane closures were temporarily implemented as the investigation continues.
