A Linn, Mo. woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Osage County on Tuesday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the incident occurred at 10:09 p.m. on South Second Street in Linn.
Authorities said the driver was backing up when they accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, striking the pedestrian.
The victim, a 58-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at a local medical facility.
The MSHP is investigating the crash. No additional injuries were reported.
