CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A man suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday night, according to Chesterfield County Police.
Officers responded to the 10300 block of River Road at approximately 8:52 p.m. A 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling east collided with the pedestrian, who reportedly stepped into the roadway.
The injured man was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
River Road is expected to remain closed between Chesdin Ridge Drive and Chesdin Park Drive as investigators work the scene.
