EPHRAIM, Utah (KUTV) — A passenger died in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 89 on Monday.
The collision occurred near milepost 305 when a northbound Honda Civic crossed double yellow lines to overtake another vehicle, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety. The Civic subsequently collided with a southbound Toyota Tacoma.
The passenger in the Civic sustained fatal injuries. Both drivers were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the incident. No further details on the injuries or the condition of the drivers have been released.
