Fatal Crash in Union Township Involves Motorcycle
A crash in Union Township on Wednesday night resulted in the death of a passenger and injuries to a motorcyclist, authorities said.
Officers responded to the intersection of Old State Route 74 and Eastgate Blvd. at approximately 8:40 p.m. on September 17 for reports of an accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the motorcyclist and their passenger injured. Both individuals were transported to the hospital; however, the passenger, identified by the Hamilton County Coroner's Office as 73-year-old Karen Feck, later died from her injuries.
Authorities confirmed that preliminary investigations indicate drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
