Overnight two-vehicle crash in Caldwell claims the life of a Homedale man.

CALDWELL, Idaho — A crash involving a Kenworth commercial vehicle and a 2010 Fusion resulted in one fatality early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 2:33 a.m. at the intersection of Simplot Boulevard and Farmway Road, leading to an extended closure of Simplot Boulevard. According to the Idaho State Police, the Fusion crossed the center line while heading east and collided head-on with the westbound Kenworth.

The 57-year-old driver of the Kenworth, from American Falls, sustained no injuries and was wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the Ford Fusion, a man from Homedale, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

Idaho State Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
