NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — A crash on Interstate 84 in Nampa blocked westbound traffic for approximately 90 minutes early Sunday morning.
According to Idaho State Police, the incident occurred at 5:48 a.m. on the westbound off-ramp at the Karcher Road exit. A Mazda 5 traveling west collided with a Volvo truck-tractor pulling a Great Dane trailer.
The 23-year-old Mazda driver from Ontario, Oregon, was transported to a hospital by ambulance, while the 54-year-old Volvo driver from Beaverton, Oregon, was uninjured and not transported. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
Authorities stated that westbound lanes of I-84 were closed for about 90 minutes during the response. The Nampa Police Department, Nampa Fire Department, and Canyon County Paramedics assisted with the incident. The crash is still under investigation.
