TAUNTON, Mass. —
A single-car crash in Taunton late Friday night resulted in one fatality and one injury.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m. near 266 County Street.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, officers found a 2001 Honda Accord with significant damage against a telephone pole, with two women inside.
The driver, 26-year-old Selina Mendez of Taunton, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
A 23-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
The crash is under investigation by Taunton Police and the District Attorney's Office. No additional details are currently available.
